The Lincoln County Cultural Coalition
The Lincoln County Cultural Coalition envisions a vibrant cultural life for all citizens. It shall engage citizens from all parts of the county to create and celebrate a dream of lifelong cultural experiences for all.
The Coalition receives funds – which the coalition then distributes to Lincoln County applicants – from the Oregon Cultural Trust, which provides funding for Oregon’s cultural community. With a $200 million endowment, the Oregon Cultural Trust will secure sustainable funding for Oregon culture in perpetuity. Together, 21,000 Oregonians have raised $25 million for culture, created more than $9 million in grants that benefit every county in Oregon and built the endowment to nearly $15.5 million. Read more about the trust here.
The Oregon Cultural Trust is funded through donations. Oregonians can claim up to up to $500 for individuals, $1,000 for couples filing jointly, and $2,500 for corporations under the unique cultural tax credit. To claim your tax credit, you simply make a matching gift or gifts – same or greater dollar amount – to any combination of cultural nonprofits in Oregon. Read more about the cultural tax credit here.
