Laren and JerriLynn Woolley love spending time outdoors and they are seldom without their cameras and tri-pods. They love the coastal environment and the beautiful scenery. The light of early morning and the last rays of dusk are those magic times that they cherish. From sunrise to sunset, from the large picturesque landscapes to the smallest details, they love capturing the beauty of this world.
About Laren: Laren has won numerous photographic awards in various competitions including Nature Photographers of the Pacific Northwest, Columbia Council of Camera Clubs competitions, Celebrate Art (Friends of Florence), and local photographic competitions. Laren began his serious journey into photography in Bend, Oregon by working with a good friend and fine art photographer. From there his love for photography has escalated. He has taken additional classes and is proficient in the “digital darkroom” which insures that what he saw in the camera is what is produced in his fine art photography. Laren believes capturing that perfect image with perfect light and composition is a significant art form.
About JerriLynn: JerriLynn’s interest in photography began years ago. She received her first camera at 12 years old and relished working beside her father who loved taking pictures. Her talents with a camera mainly focused on her family until recently when her passion, additional training, excellent equipment and natural talent came together. JerriLynn has developed into a fine art and portrait photographer. Her husband Laren has provided mentoring and encouragement throughout her journey. JerriLynn loves to be around people, which has brought her success with studio and environmental portrait photography and managing “Colors of the West Photography."
About their prints: Colors of the West uses a high quality large format Epson printer which produces archival prints with amazing color. They print on a high quality archival photographic matte paper and fine art canvas. Prints have been coated with a high quality UV protective coating insuring that if their prints are cared for properly they can be enjoyed for a lifetime. Laren and JerriLynn shoot with quality Canon cameras and lenses.
