Sam Briseno (pronounced breh-sen-yo) is a metal sculptor whose body of work encompasses over twenty-five years of creating functional art such as commissioned gates, railings and benches, as well as wall-hanging sculptures, indoor and outdoor sculptures and home furnishings, such as decorative head and foot board bed frames, mirror and picture frames, lamps, candelabras, chandeliers, fireplace screens, tables, etc.
In addition, Gallery Briseno in Toledo showcases Briseno’s versatility and artistry in his medium with an array of sculptures that range in styles from representational to abstract.
There are over a dozen art sculpture benches and art in public places that Briseno had created for commission patrons. “The Ambassador” near the Performing Art Center in Newport has been welcoming visitors with open arms since 2004. The larger-than-life octopus at the Hatfield Marine Science Center has been coaxing donations from visitors there since 1997.
