Watercolor has been a wonderful part of my life since being introduced to it in 2005 after retiring from Eugene to Yachats. After raising four children and enjoying 25 years as a court reporter it is a pleasure to now pursue art and music and books. I play handbells with Campanas del Mar and serve as a volunteer librarian at the Yachats library. I am a member of Yachats Arts Guild, Yaquina Arts Association, Coastal Arts Guild, and the Watercolor Society of Oregon. My paintings have been juried in to the Celebrate the Arts Event in Florence in 2008, 2009 and 2010, and to the 9th Annual Art Exhibit at the Yaquina Gallery in 2010. I attend watercolor classes at the Visual Arts Center with the Yaquina group in Newport, and class with Susan Weathers in Florence.
I am honored to have my painting of threespine stickleback fish hanging at the Department of Developmental Biology of Stanford University which was a gift to my step-son’s Ph.D Advisor. Other pictures hang in several homes on the West Coast and in Texas.
